Late July – early August: This period of about three weeks that usually precedes a general summer closure of manufacturing plants and companies, (especially in Italy), is characterized by a peak in demand for trucking service. In fact, companies are in a production rush to fulfill orders or re-stock quantities needed to resume work once the holiday season is over.
Peak Season or High Season: The peak season begins in mid-August and decreases around mid- October. During this period, companies resume operations after their summer holidays and try to anticipate goods supply in anticipation of Huángjīn Zhōu (⻩⾦周), the Golden Week, a national holiday that takes place in China every year from October 1 to 7. On this occasion, all businesses close for the entire week.
November – end of January: The period before the Christmas and Chinese New Year holidays, respectively, is another time to pay attention to. In both cases, companies try to anticipate supplies for Christmas shopping and the closure of Chinese businesses.
