Import-export first half 2022:
everything you need to know.
The past few years have challenged several areas. Import-export has also suffered rebounds, yet the balance of the first 6 months of 2022 shows steady growth in international trade.
Covid, war, inflation: how much will we be affected?
The forced blockade of 2020 due to several outbreaks of COVID-19, war and the resulting inflation have caused quite a bit of inconvenience to companies. Nevertheless, Italian companies specializing in exports have continued to grow.
Between January 2022 and June 2022, Italian exports reached a record 306.4 billion euros, a growth of 22.5 percent compared to the first ever of the previous year i.e., 2021.
Import-export outlooks for 2023
There will be no less challenges in 2023, which will have to somehow get rid of the problems dragging on from the previous two-year period. Nevertheless, forecasts on the growth rate of international trade remain positive as well as those on exports made in Italy. We will move toward a diversification of markets and a renewal of supply.
We at SIIE are always alert to market fluctuations and continuously seek strategically winning solutions to protect our clients’ trade.
